Barberton, Ohio – JohnDow Industries has added a third product to its line of Tire Taxis. Last Fall, the Tire Taxi™ (JDI-TT1) and the Tire Taxi EX™ (JDI-TT1-EX) were introduced as JDI’s latest innovative products for the automotive tire and service industry. They are specifically designed to make moving tires and wheels through storage areas and service bays simple, fast and safe. The Tire Taxis increase shop efficiency and productivity while decreasing injuries and promoting safety.
The new heavy-duty family member, the Tire Taxi HD™ (JDI-TT1-HD) was developed from a need of the mechanic and tire technician for the transportation of larger wheels and tires in an efficient and safe manner. The original Tire Taxi diameter was increased from 25 inches to 33 inches to accommodate this heavy-duty tire and wheel market. The HD Tire Taxi is also designed with 4 inch industrial casters to maneuver over rough, uneven surfaces. One of these casters can be locked for safe storage. The HD Tire Taxi holds four heavy-duty wheels and tires with a load capacity of 552 lbs.

The new Heavy-Duty Tire Taxi provides easy storage of tires and wheels during mechanical work; transporting of tires and wheels from the auto lift to tire changers or to tire shelves; and basic storage of customer tires. The unit is also designed to fit through standard 36 inch commercial doorways.
JohnDow products include fuel storage & handling equipment; used oil & fluid handling equipment; auto service equipment; EuroVent vehicle exhaust extraction systems; and Dynamic TPMS and small parts.
